You may be wondering what shadowcasting is, and how it’s done. Chances are, you may know what it is and not even realize it!
If you’ve ever seen Rocky Horror Picture Show with actors performing the movie in front of the screen, well, that’s shadowcasting! It’s just that simple. Our actors emulate – and sometimes embellish – the motions and actions made by their on-screen counterparts. This allows for a more immersive and unique experience from “just watching a movie.” In fact, it takes things one step further and brings the movie to life right before your eyes! It’s pretty rad (at least, we think so, and our crowds do, too)!
We currently have active shadowcasts for the following movies and/or episodes:
- Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along-Blog
- Clue
- The Princess Bride
- Beetlejuice
- Young Frankenstein
- Pokémon: Here Comes The Squirtle Squad
- Sailor Moon: Usagi Abandoned: The Falling-Out of the Sailor Guardians
- Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Once More With Feeling
- Firefly: Out of Gas
- The Room
